Full feature guide

How SeoLens works

Every feature, what it costs, and how to use it — with screenshots from the real product. No sign-up needed to read this.

Do I need API keys?

No. Everything technical is configured at platform level. To get real data into a project you connect your own Google account once — SeoLens then reads that property's Search Console and Analytics data on your behalf. The AI features work immediately and are paid for from your plan's monthly credits. Nothing to install, no separate billing.

Getting started — connect your data

One click. You never need an API key.

Everything technical is already configured at platform level, so there is nothing for you to register or pay for separately. To get real data into a project you only connect your own Google account — SeoLens then reads that property's Search Console and Analytics data on your behalf.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Settings in the project and click Connect Google.
  2. 2Sign in with the Google account that already has access to the site in Search Console, and approve the read-only permission.
  3. 3Choose which Search Console property and which Analytics property this project should read.
  4. 4Click Sync Data. The first sync pulls the last 90 days; after that it stays current.
  5. 5That is all — the AI features work immediately, paid for from your plan's monthly credits. No API keys, no billing setup, nothing to install.
FreeRequires: A Google account with access to the site in Search Console.

Control Center

Your project's home screen and headline numbers.

Shows the Lens Score, GEO readiness and the last 28 days of Search Console and Analytics performance, with period-over-period comparison.

How to use it

  1. 1Read the Lens Score first — it fuses AI visibility, organic performance and technical health into one number from 0 to 100.
  2. 2Check the three pillars underneath to see which part is dragging the score down.
  3. 3Work through the GEO Readiness list — those are the changes that make AI engines more likely to cite you.
  4. 4Use the KPI cards and charts to spot week-over-week movements.

AI Visibility Monitor

The core feature — are the AI engines citing you?

Asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude the questions your buyers actually ask, then records whether your brand was mentioned, how prominently, and which competitors appeared instead.

How to use it

  1. 1Leave the keyword field blank to auto-detect queries from your Search Console data, or type your own, separated by commas.
  2. 2Click Check Visibility. Each engine is queried with its own API key.
  3. 3Review the per-query results: which engine mentioned you, and in what context.
  4. 4Scroll to the competitor list — those are the brands being cited in your place.
  5. 5Re-run it monthly to build a trend.
3 credits per scanRequires: At least one AI provider key configured in Admin → AI Providers.

SEO Audit

A real crawl of the site, scored in four categories.

Crawls your pages and checks HTML structure, meta tags, headings, images and alt text, internal and external links, schema.org markup, sitemap and robots.txt — then scores technical, content, performance and links.

How to use it

  1. 1Click Run Audit. The crawler visits your site live (page limit depends on your plan).
  2. 2Read the summary first, then open each category to see the individual checks.
  3. 3Fix anything marked fail before anything marked warning.
  4. 4Re-run after changes to confirm the score moved.

AI Chat

Ask questions about your own SEO data.

A chat assistant that answers using your real Search Console and Analytics numbers, your latest audit and your active insights — not generic advice.

How to use it

  1. 1Start a new conversation.
  2. 2Ask something specific, for example: which pages lost the most clicks this month?
  3. 3Follow up in the same conversation — it keeps the context.

AI Insights

Opportunities found automatically in your data.

Scans your Search Console data for recurring patterns: pages with high impressions but low click-through, keywords sitting just outside the top 10, content losing traffic over time, and pages competing with each other for the same term.

How to use it

  1. 1Click Generate Insights.
  2. 2Work top-down — the list is ordered by priority, impact and effort.
  3. 3Turn any insight into a task with one click; the insight is then marked as converted.
2 creditsRequires: Google Search Console connected and synced.

Rank Tracker & Keyword Clusters

Daily positions, plus topic grouping.

Tracks the keywords you choose using position data from the client's own Search Console — so there is no third-party SERP subscription to pay. Below it, keywords are grouped into topic clusters with an opportunity score.

How to use it

  1. 1Type a keyword into the Rank Tracker and click Track (up to 50 per project).
  2. 2Read the table: current position, trend against the previous day, best position ever, and a 90-day sparkline.
  3. 3Click Generate Clusters to group your queries into topics and see which topics deserve a hub page.

Competitor Tracker & AI Share-of-Voice

Who gets cited instead of you.

Share-of-Voice shows what percentage of AI citations each competitor owns versus you, filled in automatically by visibility scans. Below it, per-competitor analysis estimates keyword overlap, traffic and authority.

How to use it

  1. 1Run an AI Visibility scan first — that is what populates the share-of-voice bars.
  2. 2Add competitor domains manually for the deeper analysis.
  3. 3Use the keyword gaps to plan content where competitors rank and you do not.

Content Planner

Briefs written to be quoted by AI, not just ranked.

Generates a content brief for a target keyword: an outline with question-form headings, the entities to cover, FAQ ideas, schema recommendations and short, quotable facts that AI engines can extract.

How to use it

  1. 1Enter the target keyword and generate the brief.
  2. 2Check whether it recommends optimising an existing page or creating a new one.
  3. 3Follow the outline — lead each section with a self-contained answer of one or two sentences.
  4. 4Optionally generate a full draft from the brief.
